The Bank of Namibia, jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA), launched the Namibia Financial Sector Transformation Strategy (NFSTS) 2025–2035, setting a decade-long direction for a modern and inclusive financial system. The strategy is framed as a response to challenges including inequality, limited access to finance, youth unemployment, consumer protection, climate vulnerability, and the rapid digitisation of the global economy. It aligns with Vision 2030 and the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6) and is intended to position the financial system as a driver of national transformation.
