South Korea’s Financial Services Commission announced that the joint financial sector job fair will be held twice a year from 2027, up from once annually, with one event taking place outside the capital region to improve access for regional job seekers. The 10th annual fair is being held in Seoul on Aug. 19-20 with a record 82 participating financial institutions. The 2026 event offers interviews linked to recruitment, mock interviews, career consultations, role-focused conferences and practical training. Recruitment-linked interviews, under which strong candidates can receive benefits such as exemption from initial application screening, have been expanded beyond domestic banks to Korea Investment & Securities and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s Seoul branch. Virtual interviews and consultations are available for those unable to attend in person, while a new financial job experience center allows participants to try workplace tasks. After the event, its website will become an ongoing financial sector recruitment information platform. The commission and related bodies also plan to expand programs that provide job seekers with practical recruitment benefits.
