The Financial Intelligence Unit of Mexico’s Ministry of Finance and Public Credit added 46 subjects designated by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control to Mexico’s List of Blocked Persons. The measure covers 21 individuals and 25 legal entities and follows an analysis of financial information available in Mexico. The analysis identified high risk financial transactions and irregularities reported by financial institutions among some of the subjects. The listing is a preventive administrative measure and does not constitute a final determination or establish liability. Listed persons may exercise their right to a hearing and pursue available administrative and judicial remedies.
