The Central Bank of Cyprus published June 2026 statistics for the Central Information Register covering issuers of dishonoured cheques and the related preliminary list. In June 2026, the Central Information Register recorded 10 new person entries, made up of four legal persons, one natural person and five natural persons controlling legal persons. The preliminary list recorded 16 dishonoured cheques with a total value of EUR 37,188, alongside 14 person entries. Since January 2022, the Central Information Register has recorded 904 entries in total, comprising 166 legal persons, 404 natural persons and 334 natural persons controlling legal persons. Over the same period, the preliminary list has recorded 1,427 dishonoured cheques with a total value of EUR 4,782,393 and 857 person entries, consisting of 514 legal persons and 343 natural persons. The bank noted that the person totals shown for the Central Information Register reflect entries only and do not account for deletions.
