The Labuan Financial Services Authority has strengthened the regulatory framework for digital money broking in the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre. The enhanced measures impose stronger expectations for governance, compliance, technology and operational controls to address risks arising from digital operations. The changes build on the authority’s 2024 framework for digital currency trading and its enhanced oversight of digital money broking platforms introduced in 2025. They also complement reforms covering digital governance, market oversight and electronic know-your-customer requirements.
