At an international law and technology conference organized by Austral University, Argentina Securities Commission Chair Roberto E. Silva discussed the development of Argentina’s regulatory frameworks for virtual asset service providers and tokenization. He placed the measures within the commission’s broader capital markets modernization and deregulation agenda, which seeks to remove barriers, simplify rules and widen investor access. Silva highlighted the recent expansion of the negotiable securities tokenization regime to additional instruments and the extension of its regulatory sandbox. The frameworks are intended to support new investment and financing alternatives through emerging technologies while providing clearer market rules.
