The Angola Capital Markets Commission has approved the registration of SAFRICODE INTERNATIONAL, a privately placed closed end real estate investment fund promoted by INDEPENDENT Finance Advisors - Sociedade Gestora de Organismos de Investimento Colectivo. The fund is set up to invest primarily in real estate and related assets, including direct property holdings, development rights and selected exposures to other real estate collective investment undertakings and companies with predominantly real estate assets. Its investment policy covers residential, commercial, service, warehouse and industrial properties, as well as surface rights aimed at land subdivision, construction and real estate development. The fund may also hold cash, bank deposits, certificates of deposit, units in open ended debt securities investment funds, and securities issued or guaranteed by the Angolan state with a residual maturity of less than 12 months. INDEPENDENT Finance Advisors - SGOIC, S.A. will serve as the management company and Banco BNI, S.A. as the depositary entity.
