The Hong Kong Monetary Authority released Hong Kong’s latest official foreign currency reserve assets figures, reporting reserves of USD 427.9 billion as at end-December 2025, down from USD 429.4 billion at end-November 2025. No unsettled foreign exchange contracts were recorded at end-December or end-November 2025. The USD 427.9 billion in reserves represented over five times the currency in circulation, or about 38% of HKD M3. The HKMA also set out its January 2026 schedule for four Exchange Fund data press releases, covering SDDS International Reserves on 7 January, SDDS Analytical Accounts of the Central Bank on 14 January, and both the SDDS Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity and the Exchange Fund Abridged Balance Sheet and Currency Board Account on 30 January.
