The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its president, Roberto E. Silva, delivered a virtual intervention at the Inter-American Development Bank’s BankLAC & CapiLAC 2025 Regional Policy Dialogue, focusing on tokenisation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Speaking on a panel alongside industry and research representatives, Silva described Argentina’s experience as a regional pioneer in the tokenisation of securities, summarised key learnings from the regulatory process, and flagged investor protection mechanisms as central to the new environment. He also linked the work on tokenisation rules and regulation of PSAVs (virtual asset service providers) to the CNV’s stated objective of modernising the capital markets regulatory framework to support market development.
