Moldova’s Ministry of Finance announced that Elena Grumeza was appointed as state secretary, effective 15 January 2026. In the role, she will coordinate the Ministry’s digital transformation processes, including across subordinated institutions. Grumeza holds degrees in law and economics and has experience in consulting, auditing, and the financial and banking sector. Most recently, she served as an adviser in the Prime Minister’s Office coordinating and monitoring priority national projects, and previously worked at the National Bank of Moldova and the World Bank Group on initiatives related to financial transparency and digital solutions.
