Securities Commission Malaysia reported updated outcomes for its investED graduate talent programme, with 65% of 581 trainees from the investED Leadership 1 programme securing employment within Malaysia’s capital market since the programme was introduced. It also said the investED Foundation programme has enrolled 3,072 participants across three cohorts, exceeding its target of 2,400, while the wider initiative is being used to build an industry-ready talent pipeline for the capital market. The update accompanied the investED Cohort 3 graduation ceremony, which recognised 210 Leadership graduates and 513 Foundation graduates. Since its launch in June 2023, the programme has reached more than 190,000 university students and fresh graduates through career fairs and talks. The Leadership track combines one month of classroom training at the Asia School of Business with six months of on-the-job placement at 50 capital market partner companies. Selected graduates receive a RM2,000 allowance during formal training and a minimum monthly stipend of RM2,400 during the placement period.
