The Bank of Finland has published its 2024 Data Balance Sheet, a data and technology-focused companion to its Annual Report that presents 21 articles alongside a summary of key figures. The publication is available in Finnish and English and frames the Bank’s information management themes and metrics. The report is organised into five sections covering data production and use, information management and flows, information security and data protection, and monitoring and key figures. It includes highlights from the Bank of Finland and Financial Supervisory Authority policy on the use of artificial intelligence, and discusses strategic priorities and projects including the data economy project, cloud migration and the use of AI in work routines, drawing on volume data from content management, online communications and statistical systems. New elements in the 2024 edition include “TOP 5” selections from the most read blogs, articles and the Kaisu digital repository, as well as an overview of training, events and other measures aimed at developing information management skills.
