The Saudi Arabia Insurance Authority issued final decisions revoking the licenses of 26 companies, comprising 19 insurance agencies, five insurance brokerages and two insurance claims settlement providers. The action follows corrective measures announced on Aug. 28, 2024, and was taken under the Cooperative Insurance Companies Control Law and its implementing decisions. The authority urged customers to deal only with licensed persons and to check its updated register of licensed entities. It also indicated that further regulatory measures may be taken to protect the insurance sector and its customers.
