The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) warned investors that 11 entities are not registered with the CMF and are not authorised to provide services regulated by Law No. 21,521 (the Fintech Act). The CMF noted that, as a result, it cannot exercise supervisory or sanctioning powers over these entities. The notice identifies Koddpa, GROKR Exchange, HCTX, Crypto, Dmm.bond, Iyovia, VenturyFX, Mod Mount Ltd., TradeEU Global, Eronto, and BAM NPV (a mobile app available on Google Play), and lists the websites through which several of them operate. The CMF also advised investors to verify registration status on the CMF website, check who is responsible for a firm’s management, and search for complaints or negative feedback, and it directed the public to the CMF’s Fraud Alerts Page to confirm whether an entity is supervised and to view alerts issued by the CMF and other foreign regulators.
