South Africa's National Treasury has extended the deadline for public comments on the draft General Laws (Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Terrorism Financing) Amendment Bill, 2025 to close of business on 2 March 2026. The draft Bill was originally published for public comment for 30 days from 14 January 2026 under Government Notice No. 6997 in Government Gazette No. 53955. The extension was made under Government Notice No. 7141 in Government Gazette No. 54172, and the draft remains available on National Treasury’s website.
