The Prudential Regulation Authority has published the annual report of the Bank of England's Enforcement Decision Making Committee for the period from 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026. The report shows that multiple enforcement cases were concluded during the period, one statutory notice was issued, and no decision notices were referred to the Upper Tribunal. It also says the committee reviewed two settled PRA enforcement cases and found no material issues, so it made no recommendations to the Prudential Regulation Committee or the Financial Market Infrastructure Committee on the settlement process. The committee met 16 times during the reporting period, including case panels and general meetings. No other cases were referred to the committee during the period, and no member was prevented from hearing a matter because of an actual or perceived conflict of interest. The report records total EDMC costs of GBP 94,956.22, with nearly all other costs linked to recruitment for new members. On membership, the committee currently has eight members, although one stepped down in summer 2025, and five members' terms, including those of the current chair and deputy chair, are due to end in July 2026. Recruitment for additional members began in October 2025, with new appointments including a chair and deputy chair planned for summer 2026. Over the next 12 months, the EDMC is expected to review any cases settled during 2026, consider any contested cases referred under its procedures, and continue monitoring the impact of its expanded remit for contested enforcement cases.
