The Canadian Securities Administrators have published an oversight review report on the Canadian Investor Protection Fund concluding that, in the areas reviewed, staff are satisfied the fund has adequate applicable policies and procedures in place, with the exception of one low-priority finding. The report assesses whether the fund has complied with the terms and conditions of its approval orders and whether regulatory processes are effective, efficient, and applied consistently and fairly. The risk-based review targeted specific processes within the Corporate Governance and Financial functional areas. The low-priority finding is detailed in Part IV of the report.
