The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission took part in the Siam Square Walking Street For All: May Day 2026 event and used the occasion to promote its “insurance for all, easy to access, close to home” message. In the context of the National Labour Day event, the Office presented insurance as a practical risk management tool for workers and lower-income members of the public, with particular emphasis on microinsurance and on explaining insurance rights and consumer protection. This was the Office’s first year running an activity booth at the event. Its programme included presentations on insurance innovation for younger people through the Center for Insurance Technology, information on insurance benefits, learning activities delivered by the Road Accident Victims Fund and the Life Insurance Fund, and outreach on the Office’s role in supervising the insurance sector and protecting policyholders. The Office also distributed microinsurance policies and souvenirs to workers and other visitors, and said the microinsurance offering attracted strong public interest.
