The Italian Securities Commission (Consob) has adopted amendments to the Issuers' Regulation to govern how it will review corporate sustainability reports within its supervisory perimeter, following a public consultation with the market. The changes also clarify the required format for the internal attestation accompanying sustainability reporting. A new Article 89-quinquies sets out the procedures and deadlines for Consob’s checks on sustainability reporting published by listed issuers for which Italy is the home Member State, implementing the regulatory delegation in Article 118-bis of the TUF. Article 81-ter(1) has been updated to specify that the attestation on sustainability reporting must be issued by the responsible executive using Template No. 3, added to Annex 3C-ter of the Issuers' Regulation (implementing the delegation in Article 154-bis(5-ter) of the TUF). The amending resolution (No. 23463), an explanatory report on the consultation outcomes, and the consultation submissions have been published on Consob’s website.
