Thailand's Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) took part in the sixth APFinSA Awards in Bangkok, with Deputy Secretary-General Wasumdee Vasinont opening the event and presenting awards, and used the platform to reinforce the role of life insurance agents and financial advisers in supporting a sustainable insurance sector. Organised by the Asia Pacific Financial Services Association (APFinSA), the ceremony recognised excellence among life insurance agents and financial advisers from across the Asia-Pacific region. The OIC emphasised the need for intermediaries to keep pace with rapid digital change and evolving risks, and reiterated its ongoing focus on developing intermediary capabilities, supporting the use of innovation and technology in service delivery, and strengthening consumer protection.
