The Astana Financial Services Authority has appointed Phang Hong Lim as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of its Board of Directors, effective 23 May 2026. The decision was approved by the Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre on 22 May 2026. The change comes as Mukhtar Bubeyev steps down from the Board and leaves the Audit and Risk Committee chair role at the end of his term. AFSA said Lim brings more than four decades of experience in financial supervision and risk management across regulatory authorities and global financial institutions. His background includes service as a director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Chief Risk Officer of CIMB Group, Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, and Senior Director at Toronto Centre, where he supports capacity building for financial sector regulators and supervisors.

The Astana Financial Services Authority has appointed Phang Hong Lim as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of its Board of Directors, effective 23 May 2026, following approval by the Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre. He succeeds Mukhtar Bubeyev, who steps down at the end of his term, and brings over four decades of experience in financial supervision and risk management at regulatory authorities and global financial institutions.
