Bank Indonesia published the results of its fourth quarter 2025 Business Survey, indicating that business activity was maintained, reflected in a Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 10.61%. Most sectors recorded a positive WNB, led by Financial Services, alongside Wholesale and Retail Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, the Manufacturing Industry, Public Administration, Defence and Compulsory Social Security, Information and Communication, and Accommodation and Food Service Activities, consistent with a seasonal uplift in demand around Christmas and New Year. Production capacity utilisation was maintained at 73.15%, supported by Electricity Supply and by Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activities. Corporate financial conditions were generally described as sound in liquidity and profitability, with looser access to credit. Respondents expect business activity to accelerate in the first quarter of 2026, with a WNB of 12.93%, driven mainly by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing due to the harvesting season and by higher activity in manufacturing, transportation and storage, and wholesale and retail trade in response to seasonal demand during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr 1447 H.
