The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting with UN Women’s representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina to review the central bank’s existing initiatives and discuss future cooperation aimed at strengthening the gender perspective in the financial sector. The central bank highlighted its role as a leading institution in implementing gender standards, including promoting equal opportunities, supporting women in managerial and professional positions, strengthening financial literacy, and collecting gender-disaggregated data. UN Women expressed support for these efforts and agreed there is scope for additional cooperation and joint initiatives to further embed gender equality in financial institutions and the wider economic system.
