The Central Bank of Russia published new statistics indicating growing use of the Faster Payments System (SBP) for retail purchases, with the number of companies enabling SBP payments exceeding 2.5 million by the end of 2025 Q2 and April–June purchases totalling RUB 2.2 trillion, up 1.4 times year on year. Across 2025 Q2, the SBP processed 4.6 billion transactions worth RUB 24.8 trillion, with nearly a third of transactions related to payments for goods and services. Trade and service companies accept an average of 15 million SBP payments per day, and small businesses remain the most active adopters, with around one-third using the system. Payments received by individuals from insurers, brokers and other legal entities, including cashback, increased by a factor of 1.5 in number and 1.4 in value.
