The Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada has appointed Marc-André Gosselin and Nicolas Vincent as Deputy Governors, effective May 25 and August 3, 2026, respectively. Gosselin will join the Bank’s Governing Council and oversee analysis of domestic economic developments. Vincent, currently an external Deputy Governor and member of Governing Council since 2023, will become a full-time Deputy Governor responsible for analysis of international economic developments and will serve as the Bank’s G7 and G20 Deputy. The Bank will launch a recruitment process to fill the resulting vacancy for an external Deputy Governor.
