The Ontario Securities Commission has opened applications for membership on its independent Investor Advisory Panel, which provides the regulator with the primary retail investor perspective on policy, rule-making and other regulatory initiatives. The recruitment will fill vacancies arising as some current members' terms end over the coming year, with appointments aimed at maintaining a broad mix of experience, skills, knowledge, and investor perspectives. The panel advises on proposed rules, policies, and investor protection issues, and also considers the views of a broad range of investors through outreach to investors and investor organizations. A selection committee made up of the OSC's Chief Executive Officer and two Executive Vice Presidents will interview shortlisted candidates and appoint new members to staggered terms beginning at different points as vacancies arise. Each appointment will be for up to two years. Applications are due by May 26, 2026.
