The Argentina Superintendency of Insurance used the 10th Regional Insurance Congress in Córdoba to set out the strategic lines of its current management, framed around “regulate less and supervise more” and a stronger focus on supervision. Valeria Hirschhorn, the Superintendency’s General Coordination Manager, presented the main pillars of the approach, describing an objective of a more agile, transparent and effective system and positioning “intelligent supervision” as a tool for continuous improvement. The congress brought together business chambers, insurers and insurance producer advisor associations, with discussions covering non-traditional lines, agricultural, motor, assistance services, technological innovation and industry chamber perspectives.
