Argentina Securities Commission President Roberto E. Silva spoke at FinnLAC Forum 2025 in Miami, presenting the regulator’s work to modernise Argentina’s capital markets framework, including measures intended to streamline processes and strengthen transparency. He highlighted the introduction of a Tokenisation Regime and a regulatory regime for Virtual Asset Service Providers (PSAVs) as core elements of Argentina’s approach to digital assets. The remarks were delivered on a panel focused on regulation of digital assets, stablecoins and tokenisation, moderated by Costa Rica’s General Superintendency of Securities (SUGEVAL) and featuring representatives from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and the Dominican Republic’s securities market authority. Silva noted that Argentina had no regulation on these topics two years earlier and framed the new rules as novel in Argentina and the region; CNV board director Laura Herbón also attended the forum.
