Albania’s Financial Services Authority, in cooperation with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, has opened a week of IAIS activities in Tirana, marking the first time Albania has hosted and co-organised the global event. Technical committee meetings and bilateral discussions are scheduled for 10–12 November, focused on strengthening effective supervision, promoting international principles and standards, and supporting the development of new insurance products and best practices. The IAIS Annual Conference, themed “Navigating Uncertainty: Enhancing Societal Resilience Amidst Growing Complexity”, will take place on 13–14 November and is expected to bring together about 530 representatives from supervisory authorities, insurance companies and international financial institutions; the second day will include remarks from Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
