The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) hosted a two-day workshop where representatives of the Croatian National Bank (CNB) shared practical experience from Croatia’s implementation of Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) standards, positioning the exchange as technical support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU integration and alignment with EU standards. The programme focused on SEPA process management, the organisation and operation of SEPA payment infrastructure, the regulatory framework for SEPA payments, and challenges and effects observed in Croatia when joining SEPA. CNB representatives covered operational and regulatory aspects of the transition, including inter-institutional cooperation, adaptation of national legislation, and the impact on the payment services market and end users. The workshop was held with assistance from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Directorate for European Integration and support from Croatia’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
