The National Bank of Moldova has launched a competition running from 26 June to 3 July 2026 to select participants for the sixth and seventh editions of its financial education program, School of Modern Finance. The program is organized with the support of the National Bank of Romania and in collaboration with ASE Bucharest. The sixth edition, scheduled for 25 July to 2 August 2026, is aimed at third-year and master's students from ASEM, while the seventh edition, scheduled for 5 to 13 September 2026, is for students and master's candidates from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at USM. The program will combine lectures from mentors at the National Bank of Romania, ASE Bucharest and the Romanian Academy with less formal discussions and visits to institutions relevant to economic development, including the State Mint. ASEM participants who deliver a financial education presentation in rural areas by year-end, and USM participants who write and publish a journalistic piece on a financial topic, will receive participation certificates. Selection will take into account academic performance, confirmation of attendance in line with Education Ministry requirements and the absence of academic arrears, while journalism applicants must also provide a published media item on a financial subject.
