The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has registered WamNow Technologies Limited to carry on the business of an e-money issuer in Trinidad and Tobago using its digital wallet app, Wam, following the successful completion of its provisional registration period. The registration was granted on 7 November 2025 after WamNow’s provisional registration period ended on 6 November 2025. WamNow, a privately owned fintech incorporated on 26 February 2021, is registered to issue e-money accounts and provide cash-in, cash-out, payment services, and money transfer or remittance services. The Central Bank will continue to monitor WamNow’s operations and compliance with the legislation and guidelines governing e-money, including the E-Money Issuer Order, 2020 as amended.
