The Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia reported that its head, Davit Onoprishvili, and deputy head, Ekaterine Tsereteli, participated in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ International Annual Insurance Forum in Washington, D.C., held 29–30 May. Hosted by North Dakota Insurance Commissioner and NAIC President John Godfried, the forum discussed insurance-sector challenges and development trends including the impact of artificial intelligence, climate risks and sustainability mechanisms, the role of alternative investments in a rising interest-rate environment, product innovation and availability in emerging markets, and the effects of demographic change on health and pension insurance. The Service linked its participation to ongoing international engagement and the exchange of supervisory practices.
