Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) convened a roundtable during Hong Kong Green Week to exchange views on advancing sustainable finance in Asia-Pacific capital markets, with a focus on sustainable-related thematic instruments and the mobilisation of transition finance. Senior officials from 12 jurisdictions participated in the Asia Climate Finance Dialogue hosted in Hong Kong, discussing developments and innovations in instruments including green bonds, blue bonds and environmental, social and governance (ESG) funds. The agenda also covered frameworks and mechanisms to facilitate the use of these instruments, with contributions from experts from the Asian Development Bank, ADBI and the private sector. The roundtable was the fifth under the Asian Climate Finance Dialogue Project, a collaborative initiative launched by ADBI with the Asian Development Bank to drive policy actions to enhance climate-related disclosures and expand climate finance across the region.
