The Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) published monthly statistics showing total net assets of Luxembourg undertakings for collective investment reached EUR 5,840.177bn as at 30 November 2024, up from EUR 5,665.580bn a month earlier. The EUR 174.597bn monthly increase reflected EUR 9.787bn of net subscriptions and EUR 164.810bn from positive market developments, while net assets were up 13.35% over the last 12 months. The population covered totalled 3,161 UCIs, down from 3,179 the previous month, including 2,081 umbrella structures with 12,568 sub-funds and 1,080 non-umbrella entities, for 13,648 active fund units in total. Market performance in November was driven mainly by strong US equities and USD appreciation against the EUR, while equity UCIs saw net outflows across all categories except US equities; fixed income UCIs posted positive monthly returns and net inflows in all categories except emerging market bonds. The CSSF also updated the official list, registering eight UCIs (one UCITS Part I and seven Part II) and deregistering 26 (10 UCITS Part I, one Part II and 15 specialised investment funds).
