The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has expanded its Reportable Situations dashboard to cover two full years of data on breaches self-reported by Australian financial services and credit licensees. The dashboard provides information on report volumes, breaches by product and issue, customer impacts, firms’ rectification efforts and remediation methods. ASIC received 11,838 initial breach reports from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, down 490 from the previous year. Australian financial services licensees submitted 7,673 reports and Australian credit licensees submitted 4,520, with reports from entities holding both license types counted in both categories. Dashboard figures may change as licensees update reports when investigations progress or new information becomes available. Revisions can affect customer impact data, financial loss estimates, remediation outcomes and investigation findings.
