The Bank of Italy released seven new papers in its Questioni di Economia e Finanza research series (nos. 918–924), covering productivity trends, migration policy, systemic and market risk in the financial sector, demographic drivers of consumption, and the Italian venture capital market. The publications include two studies on productivity, one comparing post-pandemic productivity dynamics in the United States and the euro area and another examining the euro-area productivity slowdown and the role of factor input prices. Other papers analyse migration flows and policies in Italy and other European countries, assess the contribution and exposure to systemic risk of Italian insurers and banks, look at market risk in securities portfolios held by Italian banks and insurers, relate countries’ demographic and socio-economic structure to household consumption, and review the Italian venture capital market.
