The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) announced that Amit Pradhan has taken charge as Executive Director in Mumbai, with responsibility for the Legal Affairs Department (Vertical 1) and the Prosecution & Settlement Department. Pradhan previously served as Chief General Manager and Regional Director, heading SEBI’s Northern Regional Office in New Delhi. SEBI noted his around 28 years of experience across legal and regulatory affairs, enforcement and policy development at SEBI, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and the Competition Commission of India, including prior leadership of SEBI’s Legal Affairs Department at its head office and quasi-judicial work as a full-time Designated Authority and Adjudicating Officer.

Amit Pradhan has been appointed Executive Director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in Mumbai, overseeing the Legal Affairs and Prosecution & Settlement Departments. Pradhan brings nearly 28 years of experience in legal and regulatory affairs, having previously led SEBI’s Northern Regional Office and served in various capacities at SEBI, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, and the Competition Commission of India.
