The Bank of Korea published preliminary export, import and trade indexes for July 2026, showing Korean won-based export prices rose 1.0 percent from June and 49.1 percent year on year. Import prices fell 1.0 percent month on month but remained 18.7 percent higher than a year earlier. On a U.S. dollar basis, export volume increased 20.0 percent year on year and export value rose 64.2 percent. Import volume and value increased 14.7 percent and 25.8 percent, respectively. The net barter terms of trade index improved 24.7 percent year on year and 6.9 percent from June, while the income terms of trade index rose 49.7 percent year on year.
