The Egmont Group Secretariat has requested proposals from consultants to design and draft the next Egmont Group Strategic Plan, as the current 2022 to 2027 plan enters its final year. The exercise will support the global network of 182 Financial Intelligence Units in setting its next mandate and priorities, with the Heads of Egmont Group FIUs due to consider the new plan for adoption in July 2027. Under the coordination of the Egmont Committee’s Governance, Corporate Planning and Development Reference Group, the selected consultant will manage the full planning process. That includes an environmental scan, stakeholder and SWOT analyses, brainstorming sessions to reconfirm the group’s vision, mission and values and set new strategic objectives, and drafting a plan covering key focus areas, key result areas, priority actions for the committee, working groups, regional groups and secretariat, plus a performance measurement and implementation tracking mechanism. The work also includes internal consultations across Egmont bodies and the production of both a full internal plan and a shorter external version for stakeholders and the public. The proposed timeline runs from July or August 2026 to July 2027. Key milestones include draft environmental and SWOT analyses in August 2026, Egmont Committee strategy sessions in September 2026, a first draft in January 2027, presentation to the Egmont Committee for approval in May 2027, and final endorsement by the Heads of Egmont Group FIUs in July 2027. Proposals are due by July 22, 2026.
