Dubai International Financial Centre has publicised a collaboration between Ignyte, its digital start-up ecosystem, and Binance to accelerate blockchain innovation across the Middle East and North Africa through a dedicated blockchain and crypto innovation platform combining a flagship hackathon with ongoing training and scale-up support. The programme is set to start with a curated hackathon bringing together developers and entrepreneurs to address challenges spanning digital asset infrastructure and real-world blockchain applications. Shortlisted teams will pitch at a demo day to investors, corporate leaders and policymakers, with access to funding, mentorship and market-entry opportunities. Beyond the hackathon, year-round support is planned for blockchain start-ups, including access to developer tools and blockchain infrastructure, specialised training and technical workshops, mentorship from Binance’s network of experts and investors, and market access via the DIFC Innovation Hub and international partner networks.
