Sweden's Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen, FI) has appointed the industry participants that will join its reference group for the first guidance project under the Innovation Compass, focused on the reliability of automated and AI-based methods for ESG data. The project will be run through workshops within the reference group and will seek to identify practical questions and challenges linked to the use of such data, including for external sustainability reporting and firms’ work to assess and manage sustainability risks. FI selected participants based on relevance to the project content while aiming for a broad mix of competencies and perspectives. The invited participants are Climate Tracker Initiative (CTI), Metria AB, SEB, Handelsbanken, SBAB Bank, Norion Bank, Lysa Group AB and Länsförsäkringar AB. Work in the reference group starts on 16 April 2026 and runs until June, followed by an analysis phase. FI plans to publish conclusions after the summer.
