The International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation has launched the ISSB Training Partner Programme, a global scheme that allows qualified organisations to deliver official training on applying IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, also known as ISSB Standards. Alongside the programme, it is introducing ISSB Disclosure Training, a practical course delivered through authorised partners to help companies understand and apply the standards. Selected organisations in the programme will be authorised and supported to use IFRS Foundation-developed materials to deliver approved training content. The course is aimed at preparers of sustainability-related financial disclosures, including sustainability, finance and reporting professionals, as well as their advisers. The Foundation said demand for this training reflects the fact that more than 40 jurisdictions are in the process of adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards, and that the learning materials are drawn directly from the standards and related materials. An initial cohort of Training Partners has already been recruited for the launch, and the Foundation is inviting applications from additional organisations worldwide to join the programme.
