The National Bank of Moldova is participating in the World Money Fair in Berlin, an international forum on numismatics and coin-minting technologies, with a delegation led by Governor Anca Dragu. The central bank framed the visit as a way to strengthen professional dialogue with peer institutions, exchange experience on monetary and commemorative coin issues, and track current trends in currency production, security and technological innovation. The programme includes bilateral meetings with other central banks and specialised institutions to deepen technical discussions and explore modern approaches to currency issuance and cash management. Deputy Governor Constantin Șchendra, who oversees currency issuance including the development of the bank’s commemorative and jubilee coin series, is part of the delegation, with the bank noting that its numismatic work carries added significance in its 35th anniversary year.
