The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority (CMA) concluded a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Finance and other competent regulatory authorities to enhance the exchange of information for tax purposes, supporting implementation of Decree Law No. 6 of 2024 and its executive regulations. The arrangements cover coordination between the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Central Bank of Kuwait, the CMA and the Insurance Regulatory Unit to implement the requirements of tax information exchange agreements. The protocol is positioned as a mechanism to strengthen compliance with relevant international standards on tax transparency and to support Kuwait’s periodic evaluations by the Global Transparency Forum for the Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes in cooperation with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
