The Angola Capital Markets Commission hosted a panel under its World Investor Week (SMI) 2025 programme on the use of technology platforms to broaden access to financial products, with a focus on digital transformation and financial inclusion. Held on 7 October at the Instituto Superior Politécnico Metropolitano de Angola (IMETRO), the session brought together representatives from securities distribution firms and fintech companies to discuss how technology can promote access to Angola’s financial markets and what challenges and opportunities this creates for investors and the wider financial sector. The panel was moderated by CMC staff member Lutero Chipenhe and featured Celestina Neto (ÁUREA SDVM), Osvaldo Afonso (BFA SDVM), Zaudji Chinhama (Lwei Brokers) and Euclides Agapito (NewTech Angola), covering topics including digital investment platforms, digital security and investor protection, the role of fintech in inclusion, and emerging trends and challenges in digital transformation.
