The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published a statement congratulating Croatian National Bank Governor Boris Vujcic on his appointment as Vice-President of the European Central Bank, following confirmation by the relevant European Union institutions. His mandate is expected to begin on 1 June 2026. The statement highlights the ongoing cooperation between the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and the Croatian National Bank, built on professional partnership and continued exchange of experience. Governor Ahmet Ismaili also noted Vujcic’s visit to Kosovo in November 2024 as a panellist at the conference marking the central bank’s 25th anniversary, and framed the appointment as a milestone for Croatia and the region that could support closer cooperation with the ECB and further financial integration processes; it also referenced Croatia’s high-level representation in other European financial institutions, including the vice-presidency of the European Investment Bank.
