The meeting reviewed recent enforcement work in the two capital markets, trends in illegal and non-compliant conduct, case handling and progress in major cases, while assessing the results of existing cross-border enforcement cooperation. Discussions also covered new forms of cross-border misconduct, stronger intelligence sharing and options to deepen cooperation within the current framework. The stated focus was to improve the effectiveness of cross-border enforcement coordination and strengthen regulatory enforcement. Next, the China Securities Regulatory Commission said it will continue working with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to refine the cross-border enforcement cooperation mechanism and pursue strict action against cross-border violations.
