The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) have jointly appointed Professor Arvind Krishnamurthy as the MAS Distinguished Term Professor in Economics and Finance for 18 to 28 February 2026. The visiting professorship will be hosted by the NUS Business School’s Department of Real Estate and MAS’s Economic Policy Group. Professor Krishnamurthy is John S. Osterweis Professor of Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is affiliated with the National Bureau of Economic Research and other policy research institutes. MAS highlighted his work at the intersection of financial economics and monetary policy, including research on safe assets such as United States Treasury securities and on the forces underpinning reserve currency status, and noted he is the 25th MAS Term Professor since the programme was established in 2009. During the term, he will deliver a public lecture at NUS on 24 February 2026 titled Dollar Dominance and hold dialogue sessions with NUS faculty. He will also give a talk at MAS and engage senior policymakers and economists on international economics, finance and monetary policy.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the National University of Singapore have appointed Professor Arvind Krishnamurthy as the MAS Distinguished Term Professor in Economics and Finance from 18 to 28 February 2026. Professor Krishnamurthy, a finance expert from Stanford, will deliver a public lecture at NUS and engage with policymakers on international economics and monetary policy. He is the 25th MAS Term Professor since the programme began in 2009.
