The Central Bank of Estonia has released its monthly flash estimate of the balance of payments for the last month but one and outlined how the estimate is produced and subsequently revised. The quarterly balance of payments is compiled from a combined system of representative primary data sources, including company surveys, while the monthly series is based on a smaller database. The monthly estimate uses as much available data for the reference month as possible, including administrative sources and international payments reporting, but remains partly subjective and is therefore presented as an estimate; once quarterly data are published, the monthly figures are adjusted accordingly. Statistical releases are published alongside statistical data and are presented separately from economic policy releases. The balance of payments for the third quarter of 2025 is scheduled for publication on 10 December 2025.
